Global Projects Intern with Agora Incorporated

Agora Economics is part of a worldwide network called The Agora, based in Baltimore with a presence in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, France, S. Africa, China, Australia, England, and India.

We are seeking an intern to join our team during a time of rapid growth. If you are interested in gaining first-hand experience working with a multinational organization, then this is the internship for you!

WHAT’S IN IT FOR YOU?
Work under the direction of the Executive Director and gain experience by performing the following goals:
-Edit content that has been translated into English.
-Proofread and improve copy.
-Help pen a daily newsletter.
-Read dozens of our best publications (a $72,000 value).
-Populate our website with existing content.
-Collaborate with team members on new projects and ideas.
-Other duties as assigned.

AS AN INTERN, YOU WILL:
-Experience a set period of practical work as part of the Agora Economics team at an international company.
-Work in an office environment where you’ll gain teamwork and project management skills that are important in any career.
-Have access to some of the best writers in the world.
-Combine book knowledge and classroom instruction with the practical challenges of day-to-day project implementation.
-Be provided the opportunity to meet the internship requirements of your degree program.
-Expand your horizons with international networking.

The role of the applicant will vary greatly depending on your strengths. Editorial skills in writing is the top priority. Ideally, a top candidate would possess the necessary skills for 3 or 4 of the duties below:
-Writing in a relatable personal way.
-Master of syntax and words.
-Enjoy reading and learning from writers.
-Interest in finance and economics.
-Ability to show initiative, multi-task, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
-Strong writing and verbal communication skills.

DATES, HOURS, AND COMMISSION

Internship duration: 6-9 weeks but we can be flexible! 
This is a paid internship. 
10 hours minimum per week.
