As a UMBC alumnus/a, we invite you to share your professional journey and knowledge with current UMBC students by providing them with your industry insight, offering tips on the job search process, and contributing career guidance.

There are several ways that the Career Center can connect you to current students.

Hire a UMBC Student (connect)

Connect your employer to UMBC students who are intelligent and motivated to succeed. We are delighted to assist you in identifying talented students for all of your hiring needs, including internships, research, co-ops and full-time hires. You can also take advantage of our recruiting services by posting job and internship openings on UMBCworks and participating in our career fairs and on-campus interview programs.

Engage in UMBC’s Alumni-Student Networking Group on LinkedIn

The UMBC Alumni-Student Networking Group connects active alumni on LinkedIn to current UMBC undergraduate and graduate students along with recent graduates in support of career exploration and academic development. Alumni from all majors and professions are encouraged to join, as a diverse network of volunteers can provide current students with meaningful insight from a variety of professional perspectives.

By joining the UMBC Alumni-Student Professional Networking Group, alumni can expect to assist students with:

  • Preparing for an upcoming interview or job fair.
