USE CAUTION - Email Scams Are Being Sent Daily*
If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is!
The UMBC Career Center works very hard to ensure that job postings in Handshake are legitimate positions, and Handshake has shown to be a very reliable source to find great opportunities. However, scammers are becoming more and more creative and they are circumventing Handshake.
***We have recently seen an uptick in fraudulent job offers emailed directly from scammers to students posing as legitimate employers. ***
Please see the following example of the most recent email scam. THIS IS FRAUDULENT: It is not from UMBC or Career Services.
