This document has everything you need to know to strategically plan who you'd like to connect with:
  • "Freshman Friendly" denotes employers that are open to talking with first year undergraduate students. Even if you aren't looking for a job or internship right now, you can visit these employers' tables to get some experience/practice chatting with recruiters. You might learn something about an organization that you will want to work for in the future.
  • "Employer Partners" and "Event Sponsors" are highly engaged organizations that have an invested interested in recruiting UMBC students and alumni.
  • See the list of employers by college and the alpha list to find employers recruiting for majors/industries that match your field of study.
  • Make sure to check out the list of positions each organization is recruiting for. If your interests/field of study align, plan to connect with those employers at the fair. Don't settle for just visiting the big name companies.
Get familiar with the map and maybe visit the Retriever Activities Center ahead of time if you have never been there before. The Fair will take place across both the Arena and Recreation courts sides of the RAC.
