B.S. in Mechanical Engineering
Dec. 2008

Where are you now?
As of July 2009, I will working a the Patuxent River Naval Base, Lexington Park, MD for NAVAIR as a Mechanical Engineer.

What was the best part of using the Career Services Center in your job search?
The continued support from the CSC staff, when I was down from seemingly endless failed attempts in getting a job, they always had something encouraging to say. I even had a few staff members personally recommend me for jobs they knew I'd be interested in. I really felt like the staff, all the way from the interns through the department head took me under their wings to introduce me to employers and put my best foot forward.

Any advice you would give to other students?
Start early, about two semesters before you graduate, and don't take breaks. Meet a new person every day and give them you're 30 second pitch, you'll be amazed at how far that will get you.
