Finding Job Security in Uncertain Times

$150 for a 2 day workshop + one follow-up appointment
Next session: Friday, April 24 and Monday, April 27, 2009 9am-5pm

  • Have you recently been downsized or are you concerned about being laid off?
  • Are you uncertain that your current job might be the best fit for you and are you looking at a better career match?
  • What mechanisms do you have in place to ensure your own career management and job security?

No doubt, change is apparent in the economic climate on a national as well as global scale.  What are you doing to meet the challenges and changes that you may be facing to ensure job security within your own career?

Today, job security means being prepared for change.  With outsourcing, mergers, buy-outs, bankruptcies and downsizing you must look to yourself for your job security.  Knowing your own package of strengths that energize and motivate you, as well as your ability to articulate your worth is your true job security.  Awareness of your dependable strengths enables you to seek new training and education, when you need it in order to keep on top of the employment game.

In this two-day workshop you will learn the Dependable Strengths Articulation Process™ - a peer assisted group process that will help you to become a Job Magnet, doing more of what you like to do and utilizing more of potential.  Even in uncertain times, employers are always window shopping for good talent and they want to hire people who are excited by what they do.  This workshop will have you tap into that potential so that you can become in charge of your own life.  This is true job security.

Through this non-traditional job search process participants will:

  • Identify what you are good at and what you love to do
  • Learn to articulate your worth to an employer
  • Learn to make contacts whenever you may want them
  • Succeed in interviews
  • Work with a support team to increase confidence
  • Develop a tool to help you be remembered and referred.

Your registration also includes a one hour follow up appointment with a career counselor.!
