Student Use of Career Services

Currently enrolled degree seeking (undergraduate and graduate) and certificate students are eligible to utilize all services offered and attend all events hosted by the UMBC Career Center.

Alumni Use of Career Services

Alumni (those individuals who have graduated from a degree or certificate program at UMBC) are eligible to continue utilizing their UMBCworks account for one year following the date of graduation. After that, alumni can request to have their UMBCworks account reactivated on a per semester basis, but are urged to schedule an appointment with a career specialist.

Recent alumni may schedule individual career counseling appointment for free, up to six months following their date of graduation. After that, appointments are $30 per 45-minute session.

Recent alumni may participate in On-Campus Interviews through the next following semester after graduation (Fall graduates through Spring, Spring and Summer graduates through Fall).

All alumni are welcome to attend career fairs throughout the year.

Accommodation Requests

If you require special accommodations due to a disability, please notify us at least two weeks prior to an event/appointment. Requests received after that time cannot be guaranteed, but we will do our best to make the proper arrangements. Please email careers@umbc.edu with your specific request – be sure to include title, date, and time of the event/appointment.
